Cricketing legend Harbhajan Singh is stepping off the pitch and into a whole new role—as co-host of Who’s The Boss, a candid talk show he’s launching with wife Geeta Basra. The show, which brings together cricketers and their wives for unscripted conversations, is set to offer fans a glimpse into the personal lives of some of India’s most celebrated sporting icons.
At the launch of the show, Harbhajan spoke openly about what it was like working with his wife on camera for the first time—and admitted that it was a unique challenge.“Co-hosting with Geeta was difficult, to be honest,” he said with a smile. “That’s when I realized who the real boss is! This was our first time working together professionally, and it was her idea for a long time. But working with your partner is always fun—it comes with its sweet and sour moments, just like any relationship. And that energy shows up on screen. Overall, it was a great experience.”
What makes Who’s The Boss stand out is its raw, unfiltered format.“It was amazing to bring my friends in front of the camera and hear them share their real experiences. There’s a lot you’ve never heard before—stories from home, how they manage the kids, things that don’t come up in public. And you’ll see couples who’ve never even appeared together on screen before, because many wives are shy. Convincing them to come on the show was a task, but once they opened up, the stories flowed. It’s not just about cricketers—it’s about every household. Everyone will relate.”
The first season will feature eight episodes with close friends from the cricketing world.“We’re keeping it completely unscripted. That’s where the real fun lies. Scripted shows lose their charm. When you’re sitting with friends, you don’t need a script—the conversations just happen. There’s no pre-decided questions or rehearsed answers.”
When asked if he would ever act in a film, he said:“I’d love to do a role that feels real. If it’s a soldier or a sports-related film, I’m in. And if someone has to play me on screen, it has to be Vicky Kaushal. He’s an unbelievable actor—a true Punjabi munda. We’re proud of him. Honestly, he’d play Harbhajan Singh even better than I lived it on the field!”
With heart, humor, and a heavy dose of reality, Who’s The Boss is all set to bring audiences closer to the personal side of cricket’s biggest names—and to the unsung heroes standing beside them.
